What is the best time to visit Ayodhya and Varanasi?
October to March is the most pleasant, with cool mornings and evenings. Summers (April to June) are hot, and in the monsoon the Ganga rises and some boat rides stop.
How many days do I need?
One day covers the main temples of Ayodhya. Two days suit Varanasi with the Ganga Aarti, a boat ride and Sarnath. Four to five days cover Ayodhya, Varanasi and Prayagraj together.
Can I carry my phone into the Ram Mandir?
No. Phones, bags and electronic items are not allowed inside. Lockers are available near the entry, or you can leave them in the car with our driver.
Where is the best place to watch the Ganga Aarti?
The grand evening aarti is at Dashashwamedh Ghat. You can watch from the steps (arrive early) or from a boat on the river. Assi Ghat has a calmer morning aarti.
Can you change a package to suit us?
Yes. Every package is a starting point: we can change the days, hotels and places to suit your family and budget.
Are your tours suitable for elderly parents?
Yes. We plan a gentle pace with breaks, keep walking short where we can and tell you in advance about steps and queues.
How do I book?
Send us an enquiry with your dates and group size. We call you back with a plan and the price, and book once you are happy with it.
What should I wear for darshan?
Modest clothes that cover shoulders and knees, and footwear you can easily take off outside temples.
