The three cities form a triangle in eastern Uttar Pradesh. By road, Prayagraj to Varanasi takes about three hours, Varanasi to Ayodhya about four to five, and Ayodhya to Prayagraj about four.
A five-day route
- Day 1: Prayagraj, the Triveni Sangam
- Days 2–3: Varanasi, Kashi Vishwanath, aarti, boat ride, Sarnath
- Days 4–5: Ayodhya, Ram Mandir, Hanuman Garhi, Saryu Aarti
When to go
October to March is the most pleasant time, with cool mornings and evenings. Summers are hot, and during the monsoon the river levels rise and some ghats close for boat rides.
